This contemporary semi-detached residence in the Bailey Road area of Patna was designed to challenge the traditional concept of connected homes. Instead of a typical shared wall structure, the main building block is thoughtfully pulled away, creating a 3-meter-wide open space that allows natural light and fresh air to flow deep into the house.
The entry begins through this open space, leading to a striking double-height foyer illuminated from above. Natural light highlights the textured brick wall, creating beautiful shadow patterns throughout the day. The staircase leads to the upper floor, where this open zone becomes a comfortable gathering area for the family.
Large windows, balanced architectural volumes, and carefully planned ventilation enhance the overall living experience. The design blends privacy, natural lighting, and modern architectural elements to create a bright and functional family home.
